Starting a project
Last updated: 23 December 2025 16:29 BSTGetting a new project off the ground involves several key steps to ensure everything runs smoothly. SiteSolve simplifies this process, providing powerful tools for site assessment, planning, and design.
To create a new project in SiteSolve:
- Open the platform and select new project.
- Enter a name and brief description to keep projects organised.
- Set the project location by entering an address or using the built-in map tool to pinpoint the site.
Once the project is created, a site assessment can be carried out. Gather information on topography, existing structures, and nearby amenities. SiteSolve provides tools to analyse conditions such as soil, flood risk, and other site-specific factors. Defining site boundaries and marking restricted areas helps ensure compliance with regulations and supports accurate planning.
With site information established, layouts can be designed using the generative design engine. Multiple configurations can be explored to balance density, accessibility, and usability, while sustainability considerations, site constraints, and potential risks can be integrated from the start.
3D models and visualisations allow the impact of design choices to be reviewed and tested. Adjustments can be simulated to see how they affect cost, density, and feasibility, supporting informed decision-making.
