Style
Last updated: 23 December 2025 16:29 BSTThe ability to control the appearance of VU.CITY models is crucial for users who need to present live, capture screenshots, or export camera views. Customising the model’s appearance helps users effectively communicate narratives surrounding schemes or changes to the built environment.
The Style settings are located in the panel accessible from the Tools menu button. Users can adjust two main properties: Line Colour and Background Colour.
Line colour and background colour
These can be selected at the top of the panel. The settings include:
- Tone/Saturation: Use the large square colour picker to adjust. Click or drag the circular handle to change the value.
- Hue: Adjust the hue using the slider to the right of the colour picker.
- Opacity/Transparency: Control the transparency with the slider on the far right.
- Hexadecimal Field: Enter a specific colour code to set an exact colour, affecting hue and saturation while maintaining the opacity.
Saving and reusing colour presets
Users can save their custom colour presets into a shared colour palette, which is also used by the object highlighter tool. This allows consistency across different tools within VU.CITY.
