Default zone types

By default, the following zone types are available:

• Open space for parks, green areas, or other undeveloped spaces.
• Biodiversity net gain for areas designated for ecological or habitat improvements.
• Play space for playgrounds, sports facilities, or similar recreational uses.
  

Each zone type can be renamed, closed, or deleted. Additional zone types can be created to meet specific project needs.

Generating massing with exclusion zones

When exclusion zones are in place, the massing generation process will automatically leave these areas clear of buildings.

1. Go to Set up site / Exclusion zones.
2. Select Draw exclusion zone and outline the desired area.
3. Once drawn, review the calculated area in square metres.
4. Assign a zone type from the available list.
5. Select a display colour for easier identification.
6. Repeat the process for any additional zones.
7. Run the massing generation process.
8. Review the results to confirm that no building massing is placed within the defined zones.
