Add your own point data

Display geolocated points of interest in the model, such as “Planning applications for non-consented schemes”, by importing point data into the VU.CITY 3D app. This guide outlines the steps for uploading point data using a CSV file.

  1. Download the CSV Template
    Click the provided link to download the CSV template and fill it with data using latitude and longitude coordinates.

  2. Convert Coordinates
    Use the link to the British Geological Survey website for coordinate conversion if needed.

  3. Upload CSV File
    Upload the CSV file to the project drive in the Hub.

  4. Launch the Project
    Open the project in the VU.CITY 3D app and click on Data.

  5. Import Point Data
    Click on Your Point Data / Import, select the CSV file from the drive, and click Load.

  6. Edit Point Data
    Select the point data to edit from the list.
    Use the colour palette to change the tag colours by selecting the preferred colour.

  7. Remove Point Data
    Click the trashcan icon to remove the point data from the list.
