Tag

Last updated: 23 December 2025 16:29 BST

VU.CITY’s tagging system is a powerful feature that helps users manage complex urban models by organising, filtering, and interacting with various elements.

  1. Click on ‌‍‍‍‌‍Tools / Tags.

  2. Click on Add new tag to create and assign tags to relevant model elements.

  3. Tags can be customised with images, names, hasgtags and colours for easy identification.

  4. Use tags to filter elements and toggle their visibility, streamlining the focus on specific project areas or components.

Key features

Custom tag creation

Users can create and assign custom tags to different model elements, enabling easy categorisation and organisation. This feature is invaluable for managing complex models, where sorting and locating specific elements quickly is essential.

Filtering and sorting

Tags allow users to filter and sort elements based on specific criteria, such as project phase, material type, or design scenario. This enhances efficiency, especially when dealing with extensive models.

Project phasing

Tags can be applied to elements based on project phases, allowing users to visually toggle between different stages of development. This is particularly useful in presentations, where showing progress and future plans is key.

Scenario planning

By using tags to represent various design scenarios, users can easily compare different options, aiding in decision-making processes. This capability is critical for visualising potential outcomes and impacts.

Improved collaboration

Tags enhance collaboration by standardising how elements are identified and communicated within teams. Shared tags ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on project details, from design concepts to construction phases.

Collaboration and sharing

Tags can be shared with team members, ensuring that everyone is working with the same information and visual references. This shared understanding is crucial for maintaining consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
