Key features

  • Merge multiple meshes
Combine multiple objects into a single mesh to simplify the model structure, ensure compatibility with VU.CITY tools and improve performance.

  • Flip
Convert models between Y-up and Z-up orientations.

  • Rescale
Adjust the model’s scale to match the required dimensions, either by reducing or enlarging the overall size.

  • Zero and geolocate
Set the model’s origin to a specific point and input geographical coordinates to position the model accurately within the VU.CITY platform.

  • Correct visual issues
Address common visual issues such as smooth shading problems and identify flipped faces that may affect the model’s appearance.

  • Triangulate N-gons and quads
Convert complex polygons, including N-gons and quads, into triangles to ensure better compatibility and rendering in VU.CITY.

SketchUp and VU.CITY Create

SketchUp and VU.CITY Create export FBX files in ASCII format, which Blender cannot import directly. To use these files in Blender, convert them from ASCII to Binary using an Autodesk converter.
