Creating a project

Last updated: 11 June 2026 13:21 BST

A project is a collaborative space where you, your team, and other stakeholders work together on development. By creating a project, you can centralise all important assets in one place. You can invite stakeholders to view and interact with these assets in a shared project drive, ensuring that the right people are working on the right tasks at the right time.

  1. Log in to your VU.CITY account
Open VU.CITY and log in with your credentials.

  2. Navigate to the projects section
From the Hub homepage, click on the "Projects" tab to access your project management area.

  3. Start a new project
Click the "New Project" button, at the top left of the Projects page. This button is represented with a "+" icon and is located above the list view or as the first tile in the tile/image view.

  4. Enter project information
Fill in the required fields with your project details:
    • Project name: Provide a clear and descriptive name for your project.
    • Description: Include an overview of the project's objectives and scope.
    • Location: Specify the geographical location of the project.
  5. Upload relevant data
Add any necessary files and data, such as CAD drawings, 3D models, and other pertinent documents.

  6. Set project preferences
Configure the project's visibility settings. You can choose between:
    • Invite only: Only invited members can view and join the project.
    • Available to all: Any member within your organisation can join the project.
  7. Add team members
Invite colleagues and collaborators to join your project by entering their email addresses and assigning roles.

  8. Save and launch
Once all information is complete, click "Save" to create your project.
