Library
Last updated: 24 June 2026 18:53 BSTThe Library is where datasets, models, and view collections live, ready to be brought into a scene. It gathers data split between a Public collection shared across all users and an Imported collection each user builds for themselves.
The source datasets are largely public information, processed internally to standardise their formatting and make them highly queryable. Integration is ongoing, with further legacy layers added continuously.
Public and Imported
The Public collection is shared across all users and provides a common pool of data, models, and view collections. The Imported collection is personal, used to gather and organise assets, which can be kept private or shared with other users. Both hold the same kinds of content, so the difference is one of ownership and reach rather than what each can contain.
The Imported collection is also where data created in Data Lab can be brought in.
Searching, sorting, and filtering
The Library supports searching, sorting, and filtering:
- Search updates the list dynamically once at least three letters are entered.
- Sort changes the order of results, defaulting to alphabetical.
- Filter narrows results by the available criteria, such as a consented date range, with changes applied immediately.
Each custom list keeps its own search, sort, and filter settings, so different datasets are controlled independently.
Performance
Loading all available datasets into a single scene can overwhelm the application and cause it to crash. Spreading data layers across several distinct scenes keeps things running smoothly and is the better approach by far when working with a lot of data.
