Create and launch VU.CITY file
Last updated: 16 June 2026 17:48 BSTVU.CITY files are now organised within folders rather than projects, creating a familiar and intuitive file storage system. This approach simplifies file management and allows users to create and access VU.CITY files without the need to set up a project beforehand, making the workflow more seamless and collaborative.
A new VU.CITY file can be created from any folder to which a user has access and for which they have write rights. If access is insufficient, the 'New' button is greyed out, and the permissions can be reviewed in the access menu on the right-hand side. Newly created files automatically inherit the permissions of the folder in which they are stored, ensuring consistent access.
To create a new file:
- Navigate to the company root folder.
- Locate the desired folder.
- Select 'New'.
- From here, users can choose to create either a new folder or a new VU.CITY file.
Additional access can be provided by the company admin if required, ensuring that the correct permissions are in place before creating content.
