Folder based structure overview
Last updated: 16 June 2026 17:48 BSTHub has transitioned from a project-based structure to a folder-based structure. This update brings a more intuitive approach to organising files, similar to what is used in common storage systems, where folders help group and manage files for easy access.
Key changes
- Files are now organised within folders rather than projects.
- Navigation and organisation are more flexible and can be adapted to internal workflows.
- The 3D app can now be launched directly from the quick links panel on the left side of the interface.
- The Personal drive, which mostly contained legacy files and personal uploads, has been removed. Files can now be organised within the new folder structure.
Top-level structure
Upon launching Hub, a single root folder named after the organisation is displayed. Users can create additional folders inside this to organise content as needed.
When files are shared from an external organisation, an additional root folder named after that organisation is created. This folder sits alongside the organisation's main folder.
