Why does the plugin say that the Survey Point or Project Base Point was not found?
Message: Something unexpected went wrong with that process. Survey Point/Project Base Point not found.
This message appears when the plugin cannot find the positioning point selected for the export in the Revit file. For example, the plugin may be set to use the Survey Point, while the Revit file has coordinates defined for the Project Base Point, or the other way around. It can also occur when neither point has been configured.
First, check which positioning point is selected in the plugin’s export settings, then check that the corresponding point is present and configured in the Revit project:
- Open Visibility/Graphics.
- Expand Site under Model Categories.
- Enable Survey Point and Project Base Point.
- Check which point has coordinates configured.
- Make sure the plugin is set to use the same point. For example, if the project uses the Project Base Point, select Project Base Point in the plugin rather than Survey Point.
- If neither point has coordinates, set the plugin’s export coordinate system to Unspecified.
Revit family files (.rfa) do not contain a Survey Point, so they must be loaded into a Revit project (.rvt) before they can be exported.
