Data layers and VU.Library
Last updated: 20 October 2026 17:44 BSTThe consented scheme information, known as Timeline, Protected Views and data layers are now accessed through VU.Library, which acts as a central location for available datasets. This includes both platform-provided data and user-imported content.
During migration, data layers and Protected Views that were active in Legacy views are assigned to the corresponding scenes. Where possible, these are mapped to the equivalent datasets in VU.Library, allowing the existing project context to remain available.
What happens to data layers?
Existing data layers are migrated and remain available in the new application through VU.Library. Their availability and appearance may differ where the underlying dataset or way it is handled has changed.
Timeline and Protected Views
Timeline and Protected Views are accessed through VU.Library in the new application rather than through the Legacy interface. Where these were active in a saved Legacy view, the corresponding scene retains the relevant dataset or viewing configuration where supported.
