About migration
Last updated: 08 October 2026 16:19 BSTThe new VU.CITY 3D application uses an updated technology platform with changes to how projects, data and tools are structured and handled.
Existing projects and files are migrated so they remain available in the new application, with existing permissions preserved. Most content is converted automatically, but some legacy content is represented differently or requires additional processing.
The migration does not mean that all workflows will work exactly as they did in Legacy. Some features have changed, and certain analyses or created elements may be available as reference data rather than editable content. Where a workflow needs to be recreated or reprocessed, this is explained in the relevant guide.
The guides in this section explain where migrated content can be found, how legacy concepts map to the new application, and what may need to be recreated or reprocessed.
