Network update scheduled for January 2026

A planned change to the network configuration used by VU.CITY and SiteSolve as part of an underlying platform upgrade will be made on January 19th 2026. This update improves performance and stability.
What is changing
VU.CITY is introducing Secure Gateway Appliances (SGAs). These provide an additional, VU.CITY-managed access path for organisations with restricted network environments, for example where direct peer-to-peer connections are not permitted.
As part of this update, our networking documentation has been updated to reflect the current set of domains used by the platform.
More detailed technical guidance, including information on these endpoints, proxy behaviour, and SSL/HTTPS inspection, is available in our full networking articles which can be found here:
Impact
If your organisation uses restricted network controls (such as limits to wildcard domains in allowlistings, outbound FQDN allow-lists, SSL inspection, or restrictive proxy configurations), your IT team should review the updated networking requirements and ensure all of the listed domains, ports and network traffic types are permitted.
It is recommended that any existing VU.CITY or SiteSolve network allowlisting remains in place for the time being. Adding any newly documented requirements alongside the existing configuration will help to ensure uninterrupted access.
